How to Make Sprinter Type Beats

Start off with a guitar and lay down some strummed chords!

if you don’t know what that is I covered in my guitar melodies tutorial

For the top melody just click in some notes and see what sounds right!

For the percussion you’re gonna need 2 different sounding bongos

make sure to follow this pattern:

Put the first bongo on the First, Third & Tenth

Put the second bongo on the Seventh

For the snare, you should layer it with the second bongo!

For the 808 you can layer it with the first bongo, but I recommend switching it up!

make sure your 808 sounds like plucks: Pow

and not like: Buzz

For the kick you can layer that with the 808s, but I also recommend switching it up!

Boom! There’s your Sprinter Type Beat
